Land Meets Water
Some people might say that it is an obsession when you commission a house for a boat. But when you have such an investment to protect from bad weather, it seems completely reasonable. This boat’s house by MHM Architects was designed with plenty of space in mind and it is much more than a boat’s house. I love the idea of the walls that fold down and become a deck area, that’s very ingenious.

Cars are arguably one of the best means of transportation, while others would prefer to walk. Well, in the city of Lujiazui, China– you’ve got the option for both. While the crazy city streets are below, a circular pathway created just for pedestrians helps those on foot to navigate safely above the traffic.

Squish Studio, Fogo Island, Newfoundland
Inside Area: 27.9 m2
Total Footprint: 52.0 m2
With its dramatic entrance overlooking the sea, the Squish Studio’s compact, trapezium-shaped plan is enhanced by the extension of the east and west exterior walls. The triangulated south entry deck is sheltered by the construction itself.
